From March 16, Finnish police will start stopping cars with Russian license plates
Owners of such cars must prove their right to drive them nationwide. These may be full-time students or people working under a valid employment contract, as well as EU citizens living in Russia or people coming to the country for humanitarian reasons.
If the driver cannot confirm its legality in the country, the vehicle will be impounded.
But the most interesting thing about this story is that the land checkpoints on the Russian-Finnish border remain closed until April 14th. I wonder, what about the people who were there before the border closed and now can't leave?
